Sculpture No. 1 - Abundance
Price: €42,00

Found in Guellala, a potters’ village on the island of Djerba, these hand-molded sculptural fish embody the folk artistry of the Mediterranean coast. Formed from natural terracotta and painted by hand with black and ochre pigments, each carries the ancient Tunisian symbol of protection and abundance, they also carry a talismanic meaning, believed to guard against the “evil eye.” Subtle irregularities reveal the maker’s hand — timeless artefacts of sea and earth.
